An Evening of Insight and Fellowship with Dr Toufic Gaspard
On October 13, 2026, Rotary Club Beirut Cosmopolitan, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Aley West, welcomed distinguished economist Dr Toufic Gaspard to the VOCO Hotel in Beirut for an engaging discussion on “The Crimes of the Financial Collapse & After.”
With remarkable clarity and expertise, Dr Gaspard explored Lebanon’s banking history, financial collapse and prospects for recovery. A planned thirty-minute presentation grew into a lively exchange lasting approximately an hour and a half, reflecting the audience’s keen interest and thoughtful participation.
We were also delighted to welcome Richard and Brenda Maroun from Hyde Park, London, Ontario, Canada, alongside friends and fellow Rotarians from several clubs across Lebanon. Their presence brought added warmth and fellowship to this memorable evening.
Our heartfelt thanks to Dr Gaspard and to all members and guests for an evening of insight, dialogue and shared learning.
