On Saturday, September 26, the Rotary District 2452 Seminar on Public Image and Membership was held under the leadership of Governor May Chmaytelli.
The Rotary Club of Beirut Cosmopolitan was brilliantly represented by PP Mona Jarudi, PP Sona Kourtian, PP Amal Talhouk, PP Michel Mansour, in his capacity as Membership Chair, and Treasurer Jean-Paul Moubarak, as Public Image Chair.
Several highly interesting and insightful topics were discussed, including the development of a Rotalink platform designed to bring together Rotarians who share common interests, enabling them to connect, meet and exchange ideas. The important issue of member retention was also addressed.
Of particular note were the contributions of PP Amal Talhouk on membership, and PP Sona Kourtian, who presented an update on the follow-up of her tree-planting project in Anjar, carried out during her presidency.
PDG Peter Ashdjian also emphasized the importance of building and maintaining a strong Rotary image through hashtags and other social media tools.
This particularly valuable seminar provided an excellent opportunity for the exchange of ideas and reflections between a younger generation strongly influenced by social media and experienced Rotarians whose knowledge and experience continue to enrich the Rotary community.
