Celebrating Hope, Healing Hearts, and Saving Lives
A wonderful gathering was graciously hosted by Lina Shehayeb, Founder and Chair of Gift of Life Lebanon, bringing together Rotarians, friends, and supporters from clubs across Lebanon in an atmosphere filled with joy, friendship, and gratitude.
The occasion celebrated the successful launch of the Gift of Life Global Grant, proudly hosted by the Rotary Club Beirut Cosmopolitan and led by our dedicated Past President Mona Jaroudi. Thanks to the collective efforts of many Rotary clubs, generous donors, and committed volunteers, this life saving initiative is already transforming lives. To date, 55 children have been approved to benefit from the program, and several have already undergone their heart surgeries.
Gift of Life reminds us of a simple yet powerful truth: every child deserves a healthy heart and the chance to dream, grow, and thrive. Beyond nationality, religion, culture, or background, a child is a child, and saving one life creates a ripple of hope that touches families, communities, and future generations.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Lina Shehayeb for opening her home and her heart, and for her tireless commitment over the years to children born with congenital heart disease. Her vision, compassion, and determination continue to bring hope where it is needed most.
Our sincere thanks also go to all the participating Rotary clubs, our generous donors, our partners, and everyone who believed in this mission. Together, we are proving that when Rotary unites around a cause, miracles become possible.
May we always carry the hearts of these children in our own hearts, remembering that the greatest gift we can offer is the gift of life itself.
